About this book
Scott O'Connor, a former official in Burma and the author of several books on the East, wrote this as an evocation of the valley's beauty and history, based on his own travels.
It is one of the handsomest of the many books written about Kashmir between the wars, and its photographs are a valuable record of the valley a century ago.
